Concerned about Sex
I'm having a TAH on Dec. 11th. I'm concerned that sex will be different for the hubby, and for me. Does anyone have any input on this?

I don't have an answer for you but I'll be watching this thread with curiosity. I am lucky and have an amazing sex life right now and am dreading the change.

Intimacy after a hysterectomy varies among all of us.  For me and my DH, it's the same, if not better. You might find the HysterSisters article, Is Sex Really the Same After Hysterectomy? found on the Pre-Op page helpful.

I just was cleared last week (6 weeks post op.) My husband was REALLY concerned with how things would be. I was too, but not nearly as much as him  I am happy to say that the sex has been great!!! My orgasms have been different, but in a great way, more intense. We were concerned about my vaginal cuff and if the depth of my vagina, but it wasn't an issue at all. We did take it easy the first few times, and communication helps greatly. I am wishing you both well. You are in my prayers
