Upcoming hysterectomy 7/31: TAH/BSO and regional anesthetic?

Hi again Jel1221.
To find videos all I did was go to YouTube and put “abdominal hysterectomy” in the search bar. A number of them came up. Some of them very recent as well. There were live and animated ones. Different perspectives. The live ones really gave me an appreciation for the surgery.

I will check that out, would like to know more about actual surgery. I just had my bloodwork done at my hospital and talked with the nurse about anesthesia. She mentioned what others have said on this thread about having an epidural with GA, which would therefore require less GA and provide better pain control after surgery...so I might be leaning towards that. She seemed to endorse it and I think nurses see alot and sometimes have a better idea than doctors about what's best for the patient.
