Reality just sunk in

First off, I want to say thank you to everyone who has given advice and support in my threads. I have needed your words, and heeded your advice.

The week after my surgery, my 6yo DD is having her tonsils and adneoids removed. We just got in from taking a tour of the Children's Hospital and while I was there, it really sunk in that this is happening tomorrow! I mean sure, I am ready an all, but WOW, tomorrow!

ACK!!!

There just seems to be so much that I need to do, and I don't see how I'll get it all done, cause tomorrow is almost here!

Heh, ok, I don't really need advice in this, just needed to freak for a moment. Thanks for listening!

I think we're going to feel like there's always something we didn't get done...I have a week left and I tore my house apart today trying to sanitize and organize everything (I have a little horse farm)...I'm always amazed at how dirt, hay, straw and animal hair can make their way into the strangest places...hopefully one of those strange places will not be my incision when I come home (haha, sick sense of humor). Sounds like you have a couple of busy weeks with your daughter's surgery too. Just take things one day at a time and don't worry about the small stuff!!

I also wanted to let you know that two of my children had the same surgery 2 days before Christmas. They were acting fine by Christmas morning. Good Luck to you and your daughter!

By now you are already at the but I just wanted to stop by with another for your surgery and recovery. We'll be here waiting for you when you get home.

one bit of advice about the tonsillectomy for your dd. Ask the dr if you can use chewable tylenol for her pain control. The liguid stuff with codeine burns when they swallow it.
