Me Too!

Had my pre op on Thursday and Dr.'s visit on Friday. Apparantly I am healthy enough to have surgery on Tuesday. Ironic isn't it? The doctor doesn't think my pineapple size fibroid has shrunk too much so she might have to cut me horizontally instead of vertically. After the nurse drew about a gallon of blood (or so it seemed) she left the office and I started reading my file. I am scheduled for a TAH and a salpingo oophorectomy. Those words just made me laugh.
Best of luck on Tueday, ladies. I know I won't be going through this alone. Yesterday at the Dr. she patted my shoulder and said "Of all the years I have been doing this, I never had one woman ask me to put it back." That made me smile, I hope it did for you too.

All my best!

Me Too!

Good luck to you Alana. We will be keeping you in our prayers. I found out in the holding room minutes before surgery that I was going to have to have a vertical incision rather than the bikini cut we had discussed.

I am healing well and the trade off of the large incision for the relief from constant pain was well worth it.

Take care,
Peggy

Me Too!

My 2 c-sections I've had were vertical, so the doc decided to go to the scar opening. She said she was thinking of the bikini line, I told her, "Hey, I don't want an giant "X" there, someone might try to play tic tac toe on me then!" Made the doc laugh.

I like when the doctors can make you laugh or can handle our sense of humor at a time like this!!!
