Re: Tomorrow

Best of luck to you! Let us know how you are doing. Main thing is just pamper yourself and let others help you and stay on here a lot. This has helped me more than I could ever express. Take care!

Re: Tomorrow

I believe that would be a TAH, abdominal surgery? Don't worry, they will give you something good for the pain. You will be fine. Sending hugs. Best wishes to you.

Re: Tomorrow

I took a lot of the other sisters advice; Chapstick was a godsend! Nice to have a water bottle with a straw too. I did treat myself to a massage and pedicure just before surgery. The massage helped me to relax and the pedi made me happy during my recovery when I was staring at my feet!

During my recovery, I had quite a bit of gas pains and found that warming up a wet towel in the microwave and then wrapping a dry towel around it, felt great on my belly!

My doctor recommended that I only had liquids for 3 days after to help with moving my bowels. I had lots of soup, gatorade and water. I think that was great advice as I did not have any problems.

Good luck tomorrow and I am wishing you a speedy recovery!

Re: Tomorrow

I have a full bag packed because I want to make sure I am prepared! I also have my husband, and my bestfriend going to be here to help me out after. Today is the day, but not happy about having to miss my coffee!
