Isn't it wonderful to be home!!! Glad to hear you made it through ok. Just remember to walk, for short time periods, get plenty to drink, & don't let the pain get too bad before taking meds! Hope the rest of you who went in this week are doing good!

Just wanted to update everyone and letcha know I am still doing well. I had a rough night of coughing but nothing couldn't be taken care of with my tummy pillow and pain meds.
I have spent the day walking as much as possible (mainly to the bathroom and back) but don't want any fluid build up in my lungs so trying to keep them clear.

Ok all I am going to go lay back down and prop up my feet because I am swollen.

Hi Itty, how are you feeling? I am going in on MOnday for a TAH/BSO due to severe endo also. Is the recovery getting easier for you? I'm wondering what to expect those first few days after surgery.

Hiya!!
I am now day 10 after my TAH/BSO and doing well.

Expect a lot of resting/sleep the first few days and then after you get home the same. I am walking a lot and resting still when I get tired.
Night sweats and hot flashes are the worst of it. I sent DH to the store last night for some Estroven PM and Daytime to see if that would help some until I could call the doctor Monday.
My nights are restless due to the sweating and pacing and thats why I sleep when I can. Other than that the pain is GONE!!!
Good luck to you on your surgery and just remember to heal right the first time and things will go smoothly.

I haven't been on the site for awhile, just catching up now.
