Intro/new here.

Hello sisters.
I'm new here, just wanted to say hello I really don't know where to start, I've been considering getting my Fibroids removed but my doc said a hyst would be better since I've already had a tubal. my fibroids are given me so much pain and a very heavy flow so I think its time to do something I'm just confused and really don't know what to do. I don't wanna just get rid of the larger fibroids and in 5-10 yrs I'm right back considering surgery because now the smaller ones have grown larger. but a hyst just seem so drastic to me, but at the same time I do believe it has its rewards. I don't know what to do. HELP!!!!

Welcome! I was right there with you when I needed to make my decision, now I go in tomorrow and I am hoping to get some quailty of life back. Being in constant pain starts to effect everything in our lives. The decision is yours, get some peace on whatever you decide. Only you know what is best for you. Good luck and keep us posted!

I had a TAH on July 3, 2007, and am glad I did. I was at the point in life where I wasn't interested in other options and my fibroids were growing rapidly. It all went well and I'm back at work and doing fine, just tired at the end of the day.
