LAVH after 4 c-sections

I've had four c-sections (1989, 1991, 1995 & 1997) and am scheduled for a LAVH in February. Has anybody done this? Complications from scar tissue? Concerns? Cautions?

I didn't have any c-sections but want to wish you well.
Hopefully someone with experience will come by soon and share.

I had one c-section and one abdominal appendectomy and was scheduled for a LAVH/possible SAH but ended up with the addominal anyway, too much scar tissue. I never really thought he would be able to a LAVH so I prepared myself (mentally, time off from work, etc...) for the SAH.

I was hoping to be able to have an LAVH, but the two previous C sections I had left too much scar tissue so I ended up with TAH.

i had 4 or 5 previous abdominal surgeries and had no problems with scar tissue or having an lsh. i didnt have a vaginal hysterectomy but had no problems with the lap part of the surgery. good luck

My younger sister had an abdominal myomectomy for the removal of a grapefruit sized fibroid *and* she had two C-sections with my nieces. Last May...she had a succesful LSH, a sister laparoscopic hyst to the LAVH.

I had 2 c-sections before and had to get a abdominal.He spent over a hour trying to get threw rock hard scar tissue

I had 2 c-sections 2000 and 2004. Just had LAVH on Wednesday. I had just assumed because of the c-sections I would have to have a TAH so I was pleasantly surprised. My dr. told my family that was first thing I asked him in recovery if he cut me. I will say for me this recovery has been much easier. Good luck to you.

I had lavh after one c section. My lap incisions are nowhere near my c section scar. One incision is right over my tubal scar. No complications whatsoever! Good luck!

My LAVH was four holes and one was right on my c-section scar. Ive had 3 c-section,5 kids. Ill let you think about that one. Anyway , the cut on my c-section scar is the only one that dont bother me right now. The doc had no problems with it. My uterus was large and yet, no problems. Im only one and a half days out and Im doing pretty well. If youve had four c-sections then you know this pain.Youll be fine, Youll do great!!!!!! BELIEVE AND BREATH
