LSH 10 days post op feeling pretty good

Hello,
I just joined hystersisters one week after my lsh. i read the posts here alot before surgery. it seemed the only place to get real info from real people! Just want to share my story in hopes of helping someone else.i had very bad fibroids and my doctor has been pushing for this for a few years. i put it off until my periods were totally unbearable. crazy as it sounds one big fear was not going to the gym. i go 5 mornings a week and work out hard. i am now one week post op and just walked almost 2 miles ( very slowly!) surgery wasn't so bad. stayed one night in the hospital. i am very tired and pretty sore but nothing to bad. took a couple of percocets in the hospital and only advil ever since. i am very happy i finally bit the bullet and had the lsh. the main thing is rest. i find that the hardest part! i just wanted to say if you are afraid and delaying this procedure as i did it really isnt to bad. can't wait to get back to a full workout hopefully in 2 more weeks . i kept both ovaries and my cervix. i was so afraid to mess up my sex life and although i havent had any yet i have to say there i still moisture and i think being free of the fibroids will only make it better. I hope i can help take the stress away from somebody who is afraid as i was!
