1 year post op

I had my 1 year post op appointment. My doctor said everything healed perfectly. Cuff is strong and smooth. I have Zero pain. I am virtually pain free! I entered menopause at age 39, I have been on HRT compound cream since the surgery. I do not feel menopause! I feel the same as before menopause. I have gained 20 lbs, so i have to work harder at that now. Anyway she said no more paps for me, that was my last pap exam. She felt a tiny cyst in a breast, I have my first mammogram in 3 weeks.

Anyway I hope this adds comfort to those still recovering or about to have surgery. knowing that you can be pain free and heal so wonderfully! Not all surgical recovery stories are bad.

Reason for my total hysterectomy? Severe endometriosis with chocolate cysts causing kissing ovaries. Sounds sweet? It wasnt! Thats the sugar coated way of saying I was in so much pain!

I wish you all the best and I hope my wonderful surgical experience adds some light.
