The BEST Oyster Soup!

1 and 1/2 teaspoons celery salt
1 teaspoon salt
1/8 teaspoon white pepper
6 tablespoons butter
1 tablespoon + 2 teaspoons Worcestershire sauce
2 pints raw oysters (with liquor)
dash of Tabasco sauce
2 cups whole milk
2 cups half & half
paprika
oyster crackers

Melt butter in a large saucepan over low heat, but do not allow it to brown.
Add oysters with all their liquor along with the celery salt, salt, pepper, Worcestershire and Tabasco sauces.
Stir to combine.
Increase heat to medium and cook until oysters curl slightly (about 5 minutes.)
Add milk and half & half.
Heat the soup, but do not allow it to boil (or the milk might curdle.)
Ladle soup into bowls and sprinkle paprika over each serving.
Serve with oyster crackers (optional.)
