I'm not sure anyone is still checking this thread but just wanted you to know I'm originally from Rapid City but I've lived overseas for about 20 years.

I'm from SoDak!!!

I married a South Dakotan from the Black Hills. Does that count? He went to SDSMT before moving to California and marrying me. We plan to head back this summer for a visit.

Hello!

I think it counts that you even know where I'm from! When I mention that I'm from South Dakota, I see this look that comes over peoples faces that seems to mean, "okay, I've heard of South Dakota before...now where is it on my mental map?" : )

We've lived at Mountain View and Yuba City back in the late 80's early 90's.

Nice to meet you!

I see you had your surgery a while back...any interesting stories to share about your recovery? It's been a little over 3 months since mine and I don't know if I'll ever feel back to normal. I had to deal with a hematoma a week after surgery which left a cavity that took forever to heal. Now, without my defective uterus, I'm dealing with my hormones trying to adjust to an acceptable level.

Men don't have a clue to what we deal with!

I'm from SoDak!!!

I live in Idaho, but my ENTIRE family is from South Dakota...Rapid City and in the boon-docks by the Badlands. I also spent all my summer vacations there as a child...does that count?

It's so beautiful there!

Greetings!

Greetings from Germany (even though today it looks like South Dakota after all the snow that fell last night). I love this time of year. It brings back so many memories of playing in the snow and digging tunnels : )

I noticed on your profile you had chronic pain and adhesions...did this happen shortly after surgery? And, what did you do to correct it? I've been getting lower back pain which is really stiff in the mornings but by evening isn't so noticable. Also pains in my ovaries? Well, it feels like I'm having cramps again. It's been about 3 1/2 months...how long does it take to heal????? My husband thinks I'm a hypochondriac! He teases about it's one thing after another with me : )

Your thoughts...

I'm from SoDak!!!

I have been living in Rapid City since 1973. I guess that counts. We have snow now, but has been amazingly good weather the last few weeks.

I am going to be trapped inside for a few days since I just had my surgery last Thursday, so the weather can do what it wants.

Nice to meet ya! We are planning on heading to Rapid City this summer. Hope to meet other family members there and see my nephew who is a student at Tech. Can't wait to get back to see the hills.
