Cool - Strawberry Spinach Salad Strawberry Spinach Salad

Sounds like an unusual combination but one bite and everone loves it.

2 bunches fresh spinach, washed, dried and torn into pieces.
or
Pre-washed spinach - one bag per recipe

1/2 cup sliced almonds (lightly toasted)
1 pint fresh strawberries, cleaned and halved

DRESSING

1/2 cup sugar
2 Tablespoons sesame seeds
1 1/2 teaspoon minced onion (optional)
1/4 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
1/4 teaspoon Pparika
1/2 cup vegetable oil
1/4 cup cider vinegar

In large bowl gently toss spinach with berries. For dressing: combine sugar, sesame seeds, onion, Worcestershire & paprika with whisk. Slowly add vinegar, then oil in slow steady stream until thoroughly mixed and thickened. Just before serving, drizzle dressing over spinach and berries. Or, serve dressing on the side.
Sprinkle with toasted almonds. Serves 6 - 8

Instead of minced onion, I used fresh chopped onions and instead of vegetable oil, I used olive oil.

It is a very sweet dressing, so I always serve the dressing on the side.

Hope everyone enjoys it.
