I have discovered my hidden superpower

Unfortunately it’s being able to wake instantly at any moment from deep REM sleep at the sound of a cat vomiting somewhere in the house.

Eternal vigilance, even during recovery from surgery.

I can so relate! Nothing gets me out of bed faster ... A vomiting pet is far more effective than any alarm clock!

I can also relate to that! My cat is starting to have "senior moments," where she'll wake up from a deep sleep in the middle of the night, and start meowing loudly because she's confused, so I'd wake up out of a deep sleep, and come running to comfort her; also, I'm not allowed to sleep in, because she'll sit meowing outside my bedroom door if I'm late with her breakfast.

Re: I have discovered my hidden superpower

My cat is on a diet, so she gets fed at certain times. It doesn't stop her from pawing at her feeder.

Other times, she'll grab one of her "whipper" toys and start howling in the middle of the night.
