Surgery Cancelled while on Table - HELP

Hi Tami,

This is pain you can handle and medical professionals are just excellent at managing these things. The pump was wonderful. I felt very well until the gas set in about 1.5 days after surgery. Otherwise, my surgery provided much needed relief from pain.

Some short-term depression is very common after any major surgery and hysts can be particularly emotional for a woman. I cried out of the blue for about a week and a half. Then, a few sporadic jags at about 3 and 6 weeks. It takes awhile to work out the anesthesia and pain meds.

My concern for you is your ovaries being removed. Please talk to your doctor in depth about your choices for managing your hormones afterwards.

I wish you well and believe you will be VERY pleasantly surprised at how good you'll begin to feel afterwards.

Take care,

Jackie

Surgery Cancelled while on Table - HELP

I know I've been among the missing for about 10 days, but life has been too hectic for me. I started getting tolerable pains more often than I've had in the past 6 months. My 2nd daughter is moving back home (1st one is still here) so I had to give up my sewing room and I've been doing alot of moving up and down stairs with small items, but I think I overdid it one day.

My husband and daughter are becoming aware of things I do at home because when I go to do something, right away they tell me I'm not suppose too. And please ask us to help you, no lifting. I guess it's going to work after all.

I'm scheduled for 9/28 and it can't come soon enough. I'm tired of feeling up one day and down the next, happy then sad. Reading what you're all saying is that it's normal...thank God. I've even been talking to myself, anyone else do that?

I'm keeping all the princesses-to-be in my prayers this week and I know everyone's going to be just fine. Can't wait to hear from everyone as soon as they are up to writing.

Love & Hugs to all,
Terri

You poor dear. I can't imagine what you've gone through. It is so stressful preparing for surgery, both emotionally and physically, getting stuff done, etc. Not to mention your past few months have been probably more than you can handle anyway.

My hope for you is that you don't let yourself get psyched out about going in again. If you don't trust the doctor who said you were going to die (and who wouldn't have a trust issue after that?), then get a new one. Trust in your doctor, not only as a surgeon, but as a human being, is so important in your mentality both going into surgery and for your recovery. His wife sounds nice...can she do the surgery )

You're in my prayers as you plan your surgery. This will be a completely different and better experience, I'm sure of it.

"I know that they say that God won't give me anything we can't handle...but sometimes I wish God didn't trust me so much!!! ) "

Take care
