It Just had to remind me.......

Well this week was suppose to be my week to get everything done before the surgery date... then I came down with this AWFUL sinus infection.... finally the meds are kicking in and it's breaking up so hopefully I will be good for surgery on the 13th!!!

But just to add to my wonderful week my period decided to give me a good bye party! Wasn't that thoughful? LOL! I keep saying to myself this is the last time this will get the best of me because no more will have to reschedule vacations, parties, events, ect around my period!!!!

A week or so ago I was really questioning if I had made the right decision - and this reminder I got this week was a confirmation that I did make the right decision! So I am going to enjoy this period as it will be my last! No more running to the bathroom in a panic - or having to pack a seperate suitecase for my "woman products" when we go on vacation, no more missing my work out classes due to cramps and blood clots ( yuck!) I will soon be free!!! YEAH ME!!!!!!!!!!

Sorry just had to share that I have come to terms with my upcoming surgery! Not only am I looking at this as a new begining for me but for my relationship and my family! I went out and got a brand new hair cut ( short!) and I am ready to face surgery day with a smile ( yes some nerves) but I know I am making the right choice and you now what... that is a good feeling!

Once I made my decision (actually my fibroids made it for me), I never looked back. It was the best thing I ever did. Sure there are bumps in the road, but no more clots, pain, bleeding, and I have finally put my heating pad away. Your gonna be fine, and you'll be posting in the post op section before you know it. Good Luck. And remember walk, walk, rest, rest, walk, rest.

Isslewoo,

I hope you get over your sinus infection before Monday; I've been drinking those DanActive shots - the ones that are supposed to help boost immunity. I don't know if they're working or not, but I've been drinking them for the past two weeks because my sinuses love to act up too. I didn't want to end up getting sick with something right before surgery - or worst yet, have to reschedule! I've been taking 1000 MG of vitamin C every day too. I hope that'll help ward off the germs. My step-son has been sick and it seems everybody at work too with the sinus mess. It never fails for me to get sick right before something important. It never fails for Auntie Flow to show up too. She showed up last week and made me realize that I'm doing the right thing having her "removed" from my life!

I hope you start feeling better soon and everything gets easier for you from here on out.

*HUGS*

Ooooh, sinus infections are awful! Painful period are awful. In the not too distant future, you're gonna be rid of BOTH of them.

Won't it be fantastic not to have to buy any more "woman products". You will be able to just zip right past the aisle with the "feminine hygiene" doodads.

New haircut!? Great idea! New do, new life! That's the way to go! Well done!

no more feminine products...

I wish. Even after my LSH on the 14th I'll still be buying plenty of supplies as I have 3 teen daughters. Plenty more trips to that aisle for next several years.

It Just had to remind me.......

I woke up from my surgery with sinus drainage. I was doing well as it pertains to my surgery. My sinuses were the only problem. My doctor had to prescribe sinus meds for me. I suffered for about 5 days with drainage after my surgery. Go figure.
