It's about time!

I finally got my date yesterday. It kinda far out there but that was my choice. I'm a full time student so I decided to wait until after semester is over. I could have gone in this coming Monday if I really wanted to. She told me my surgery is a tvh/bso but I'm open to a change if going in if needed. I've been living for years in pain and other issues and I'm ready for it to be over. My dr did a pap while I was in there and on my file there was a bright pink sticky nit that said high risk for Hpv. I got a giggle out of that thinking gotta put it in a super obvious place or it might get missed, not like its that bright or anything. Gotta find humor in stressful places or you'll be overcome by it. I'm so glad I finally got my date!

Re: It's about time!

If you can stand the wait, you probably did the right thing. I had my hysterectomy just 3 days after my last exam of my last semester. I would have missed at least 2 weeks of classes if I had had it done during the semester. Also, you really don't want spongebrain during the semester. For me it got fairly bad. I couldn't remember the names for common items. I would forget what my point was in the middle of sentences. It would have been awful trying to go to class that way! Congratulations on your date!

Re: It's about time!

I already have issues like sponge brain. Sometimes I forget what I'm talking about or what point I was trying to make by the end of my sentence. I decided to wait that long because I'm paying for college and spring semester just started so all of it would just go down the drain. Mine is scheduled for 6 days after the last day of finals and I'm sure it will be here before I know it.

Re: It's about time!

I had to pay too. I even had to beg the doctor to let me finish exams first. My school only allows make up exams within 2 weeks of the missed exam. I figured it would have been even worse then! I hope you have a great semester with manageable pain and minimal spongebrain

Re: It's about time!

The pain is manageable only because I'm already on pain medication for another lifelong issue. I fractured my neck and now how chronic daily migraine and they prescribe me meds for em. My migraine dr already said that a hyst may help with the intensity of the migraines
