Re: Uterine Biopsy anxiety

I had a biopsy early Aug and only took some Advil prior. It was a bit uncomfortable but nothing intolerable. In this case, it was well worth it and the foresight to have one by my gyn saved me.

Re: Uterine Biopsy anxiety

Thank you ladies for all the replies. My surgery is scheduled for Jan. 9 the. They are referring me to hematology and put me on BC pills, but reading through the side affects, not sure they are worth the risks with my age. I'm set for the DaVinci, but sometimes your mind wonders and late night commercials can freak one out. I have a skilled surgeon not worried there.

Re: Uterine Biopsy anxiety

i had a biopsy done in office and it was nothing. every woman is different. he was in and out in less than two mins. a lot of bleeding after though. i am totally thinking of nothing but that biopsy now though. all i can do is think about it. i have four children and this is almost christmas, sugery is dec 5 and what if this comes back positive? what if they open me up and see im full of tumours? what if this is the last christmas my kids will have with me. i get your fear. when you fear, you tense up and that makes it more painfull, please try and relax your muscles and every thing will go smoothly. good luck

Re: Uterine Biopsy anxiety

Got the biopsy results back, no cancer or signs of hyperplasia. Go tomorrow for my first of five rounds of Venafor. Surgery scheduled for Jan. 9. Things seem to be moving along fast. By early spring I should start feeling like myself again. I can't wait. Glad my doctor referred this site to me it has been helpful.

Great news! I'm so happy for you! Things do seem to move along in this process with lightning speed. My surgery is 2 weeks from today, the waiting has gone by so quickly! Take care!

Re: Uterine Biopsy anxiety

Had first of five doses of Venifor today for low iron. Interesting experience. I hope it is successful in building up my iron before my January surgery, the only side affect so far has been a flushing feeling in my cheeks. Took Benadryl for that...
