Got a date today

Hello

I scheduled my procedure for November. I am really nervous and still questioning if I made the right choice. Hubby is being very supportive. I told my family, and my dad is very supportive. I am a little nervous about my mom's reaction; she wasn't agreeable to the surgery, but I am tired of the pain and all the other stuff.

I'm being very optimistic about getting rid of the pain and heavy periods. I know it will help with the fibroids. I know it may help with the endometriosis but may not be the cure. I'm to the point of taking the chance right now. it has been a long 19 years dealing with these things.

Thanks for "listening"

J

Re: Got a date today

Hi luckysierra to HysterSisters -

This is a tough surgery to contemplate. But it is so understandable that you would want to be done with 19 years of pain and misery. I am glad you have family support in this matter, and you do need to make the decision that is right for you.

From what I have read, a hysterectomy does not cure endo. You really need an endo specialist to remove the disease.

We are here for you.

Yes, I have read those articles. I'm trying to be very optimistic and hopeful that it will help with the fibroids and bleeding.

Thanks,
J

Re: Got a date today

As you can see from my tag line, my TAH BSO was for a huge ovarian cyst and uterine fibroids. I was lucky in that I did not have any pain, but the cyst grew that size in about six months as well as the multiple fibroids.

I hope the surgery helps with your issues.
