What prep do I need to do?

My surgery was moved from 6AM to 1:30 PM but the instructions not to eat after midnight weren't changed. I was told that I could have my meds with a small sip of water or apple juice, but absolutely no coffee. The nurse said that coffee is acidic enough that it can really harm your lungs if inhaled ( a common occurence apparently).

I am having to drink my magnesium citrate and I feel like I am going to vomit. I hope that I keep this down. After this fun, there is more to come but you all do not need you know the specifics. Say prayers for me tomorrow at around 1:30. See you all on the other side

I had TVH, bladder sling and anterior/posterior repair. I had to wash with chlorhexidine soap night before and morning of surgery, clear liquid diet day before and nothing after midnite. I was also told to take a fleets enema at 730 pm the night before. Since I have chronic constipation and due for posterior repair, we decided it was better to do mag citrate as well. After the chlorhexidine showers, I was not to use any lotions, creams, deoderant, etc. I washed my hair first, then used the soap, just in case. Every doc and hospital differs, also depends on what type of procedure you are having done, how invasive, etc.
