muscle and joint pain
I also suffer from severe joint pain and muscle stiffness. Thought I was crazy too until I started searching this site and found many other ladies with the same problem. The common thing that I'm reading is:
Take fish oil
Take calcium
Take Vit D
Take Magnesium
I started all but fish oil two weeks ago, just started the fish oil yesterday. I'm hopeful that this will help.

Thanks miss Trixie, good to hear from someone that has been post op a year.
Cutiepie, I'm so sorry things are hard right now. Get going on those vitiamins and fish oil, it will help. Take advil and hot baths in the mean time.
Hang in there,
Julie

muscle and joint pain
Me too!! I am 5 weeks post-op had total hysterectomy left cervix. I have neck, shoulder & back aches. I think I will try more calcium, vit D & maybe the fish oil pills. It is very annoying, I thought having the hysterectomy would alleviate me of all my pain. Hope it gets better. I'm only 45.

muscle and joint pain
in my first year i had all these joint and muscle aches. i know i got very depressed over it and thought i was going to stay that way. it did take a while but by 1 year post op it was much better and now i can say that it is %100 better. i found that i could not exercise for a long time but also that laying around made it worse,so i had to do just light exercise like walking. i found that advil helped a lot and i,ve been taking 1000 mg of fish oil, it didnt seem to help right away but now i am feeling allmost back to preop. i also had very bad breast pain for the whole year which i was having a problem with , i finally decided to try the otc progesterone cream and it worked wonders, i wish i had tryed that much earlier.i have only one ovary and on only vagifem for dryness.hang in there , it will get better. i know it took a while for me but i walk/run 7 miles now with no aches and my breasts have no soreness at all now,,hope this helps,,take care

glad this is here.
I'm only a few days out, and my neck, shoulders, and lower back are killing me! Not that sleeping in those "wonderful" beds in the castle help!
my friend has been the heating pad!

muscle and joint pain
I was going to post and ask if anyone else has suffered from joint pain after hysterectomy. TAH on October 22 and have been experiencing joint pain since. I am not taking any HRT because the doctor doesn't want the residual endo to flourish. I feel as though I have been run over by a Mac truck.
Any comments regarding treatment would be appreciated!

muscle and joint pain
you can buy the fish oil where ever they sell vitamins and supplements.there is salmon oil, cod liver oil, halibut, a whole assortment ,,i would ask for advise from someone that perhaps works in that section on what would work the best. i take the seal oil capsules, they have omega 3-6-9 and when i first started taking them i really wasnt a believer but after a year of taking them my bones and muscles dont hurt any more and i dont have any stiffness at all that i usually have in the middle of winter.i had also got frozen shoulder and that was very painfull.i will keep taking them till the end of winter anyway, and not sure if it is the oil but the depression that i normally get in the middle of winter seems to be non existant for the first time in about 16 yrs,i cant help but believe it must be these capsules, i take nothing else except advil and that is less and less,,also it says on the bottle that they help relieve joint pain caused by inflamation. i am a believer,,take care
