vaginal hysterectomy?

I am scheduled in 36 days! I am planning on 3 weeks off work for sure possibly 4. I am an elementary secretary so I don't do a lot of physical stuff. My boss said to have my DR. write my leave form for the most time expected and say I am under her care and may be back earlier if I am released. She said it is easier to go back early than extend the leave. I am praying every day and I am looking forward to a great recovery and a great new life after! I can't wait to feel good again. God bless all of you coming up on your dates. Went to WalMart tonight and bought GasX and stool softeners. What fun!

I had a TVH on 10/22/07
Things went really well and recovery was faster than I expected. I was MORE sore from the gas pains than anything- so be sure to get something for that before hand- fiber is helpful too- to help keep things moving. The pressure wasn't comfortable either, but after a few days, I was ok standing for longer periods. Try to walk whenever you can tollerate it

Anyway, just be prepared for the "chance" they can't do it vaginally. My Doc said that they plan to, but can never guarentee it can be done.
