Question about depression meds

Hi! I’m a 50 yo widow, triple positive breast cancer in 2019 and found out I have Lynch Syndrome. So total hysterectomy with bilateral oophorectomy done in November 2019.
I’ve been taking 10mg Prozac since October 2016 and have continued to do so - my husband passed in 2017, I was diagnosed with a rare brain disease in 2018 and had brain surgery and then breast cancer in 2019. I think I would have seriously lost it without the meds.
I’m hoping to start going out and meeting people after Covid, and there’s one guy from work that I’ve been talking to, and maybe get to know better. My concern is my sex drive - or lack thereof. It’s actually been nice (???) not having a sex drive through all of this but now am thinking I’m only 50, and one of these days I’d like to get back in the game.
I will obviously talk to my doctor for new med recommendations, however was wondering if anyone’s taking Wellbutrin after having their hysterectomy. I can’t take HRT. So am thinking about Wellbutrin instead of Prozac. Anyone have any experience with this? Thanks!

I never took either med for hormonal issues so I can’t address that part of the equation but I have taken both so can speak to my experience there. My understanding is that wellbutrin usually has fewer sexual side effects than a lot of the other anti depressants and that coincides with my experience. Obviously everyone is different but I do recall some really put a damper on sex and wellbutrin didn’t. Not sure how helpful that is but I don’t think most of us talk to our drs about it much. I hope things work out for you, do let us know if you try wellbutrin and care to share your experience.
