How long in hospital after TAH?

I was in for 3 nights, my bowels wouldn't work until they were nudged with some yucky drink!

I was admitted on Thursday at 10:00 am, my surgery was Friday morning at 10:30 am and I went home Monday night at 6:00 pm.

I had my T.A.H 3 months ago and was in the hospital for a week because they couldn't get my pain under control. I wish the best for you. Take care>.>>>>>>>>> Angel_Eyes

I had my TAH on Tuesday at noon and came home Friday afternoon.

I was in hospital 5 days went in wed came out monday tah-rso but wanted to go home sooner

I went in Monday at 6 a.m., they said I could go home Wednesday morning but I said I had no one to come and get me until Thursday so I could have 1 more night. I just wasn't sure I was ready.

this may be a dumb question but what does bso stand for???

BSO... Bilateral Salpingo oophorectomy

This involves the removal of both ovaries and of both tubes.

RSO is right ovary... LSO is left ovary...

Went in 5:30 am on Thursday and out early afternoon on Monday, so 4 days. Big vertical cut and now I do not even remember if I went #2 or not!? I was told it could be 2-4 days.

I had TAH on a Wednesday morning and was released Friday morning, just before noon.
