Nerves

My surgery date is Sept 16 and when I first learned I was booked in, I was so full of relief but now it's just nerves.
I know things are going to go fine, I know that this is what I need to have done, I have no second thoughts about anything, but I'm slowly turning into a bundle of nerves.
My ability to deal with stress is wearing thin and I'm trying to be a 'good little soldier' about it all, but it's getting harder.

Just please tell me I'm not the only one who feels like this

You're not! My surgery is the day after tomorrow and as it draws closer I just get more and more nervous. Not having any second thoughts or anything just incredibly nervous about everything. I think more than anything I'm worried about over-doing it when it comes to recovery.

i am a life long surgical vetern (rough count...15 surgeries from 2yrs to 54 yrs old).. so my TAH was 16...and waiting was working on my nerves too..

yes you are normal.. just like the rest of us.

Thanks...I knew I wasn't alone but I needed to hear it.
Some good news though, my period only lasted a week this time!! I had 44 days of nonsense, had two weeks off and then last week it sort of halfheartedly tried to happen but stopped 7 days after it started, so that was one stress factor that went away.
