I think I am going to scream !!!!

My surgery was scheduled for next week Oct 27th. I received a call from my doctor today and was told that my surgery has been pushed out until DECEMBER 2 !!!!! I am having my gall bladder removed and a total hysterectomy . I guess there was some sort of a coordination problem between the two doctors who will be doing the surgeries and something about non- emergency surgeries being pushed out because of a shortage of beds at the hospital. I had made plans with work and with a couple family members to help me out after surgery NEXT WEEK and now everything has to change. I am in agreement that the waiting has to be the worst part of all this and now I have to wait another 5 1/2 weeks!! I probably will be a basket case by that time -- I have been so stressed out trying to gear up for surgery next week -- now I don't know how I am going to survive.

Dang hon, I'm sorry you have to deal with that. My surgery was postponed only 2 weeks and I thought that was bad. We'll be here for you.

Go ahead and scream - you deserve it!! That would be so frustrating and I would want to scream too! I hope 12/2 works out better in the long run!

Originally, I was to have surgery on the 6th of October. My sister-in-law was to come and my husband was here from Kuwait. The surgery schedule did not have room to accomodate me.

I had to wait until last week before I got a new date- 8 November. My sister-in-law can come but for fewer days. It is uncertain if my husband can be here. I have rescheduled activities at work.

My biggest fear is getting rescheduled and having to make arrangements all over again.

I have decided to buy or do something special for me next week that has nothing to do with sugery. It has been fun just trying to decide what I am going to do.

What a great idea!!!! I think I am going to do the same.
Something unrelated to surgery. Ive already done the jammies, robe, slippers etc. Hmmmmmm === I wonder what I can find.
