Anyone else have to take Heparin blood thinner before surgery
Hi everyone,
Tomorrow I have to start heparin injections twice a day until my surgery next Wednesday. I take an oral blood thinner which I have to stop after tonight. I have a history of blood clots. I had a stroke 23 years ago 3 1/2 weeks post-delivery. Then this past September I was getting iron infusions for anemia when I got a blood clot in my calf. Does anyone else have to do this before their surgery? I really don't want to do it, lol, but I guess I have to!!
