not sure what to do, any ideas

Hi I am 37 with two children. I have never had a normal period, I got a new doctor and they want to do either the Novasure or a Mirena birth control. I am a smoker and latley i have been Spotting very light for 3-4 days than having clots and gushes for 1-2 days than spotting again for 2-3 days only when I use restroom. I am having a Endiometrioses biopsy done next week(not sure what to expect there).I am really at a loss and not sure if either one will help or not. Also both my Mother and Grandmother had Historectomys before they was in their 40's. Is that something that runs in the family? any suggestions would be highly apprisiated.. Thank You

I would suggest that after the biopsy you consult with your Dr. to see what your options are. Seems like you have a lot of issues with your period. I had the same thing but I also had huge fibroids that had grown from 10 weeks to 20 weeks in just 1 year so the alternative for me for a TAH/BSO. I feel so much better afterwards and not having a 20 day period makes it even better. You are so young and if you want more kids you may have to also think about that. I would just wait and see what the Dr. suggests would be best for you.

Do you know why your mom and grandmother had hysterectomys? Its hard to know if that is something that runs i nthe family unless you know why. My mother's hysterectomy was for very different reasons than mine and I have no clue why my grandmother had one.

Once you have your biopsy results and ac onsult w your doc, you probalby should also get a second opinion...

Thank you for your opinions, I found out I was suppose to see the crnp not a acual doctor for my Biopsy, I am canceling appt. got another one with a differnt Dr. I dont want a nurse to tell me my options I want to see a acual doctor I will keep you posted..
