Cold??

Ugh...so my surgery is scheduled for tomorrow morning and I wake up THIS morning with what seems like a cold (but it could be my allergies because they've been pretty bad since 2012 started).

My throat is sore...and what if I start sneezing/coughing?

I'm afraid he won't do the surgery and I will have to wait until mid-June >_<

Don't get me wrong-- I'm terrified of surgery and there's a part of me that's like, "He can just give me these Lupron shots EVERY month!"

The other part wants to get this whole experience over with.

I have had a cough and nasal congestion for 2 weeks. I told my doctor last week at my appointment that i was just finishing up antibiotic for it and he seemed ok with it.
I have read somewhere on here about another woman who went to the hospital they had her use a nasal spray and did her surgery.
Then another one that was running a fever and was sent home with antibiotics.
My best suggestion would be to call the doctors office and let them know how you are feeling.

I had cold/allergy symptoms during the week before my surgery. I woke up the morning of my surgery feeling even worse - maybe it was nerves. But I had no fever and they went ahead. I completely understand being nervous about the surgery and yet also being petrified it will be cancelled. You should tell your doctor about your symptoms just in case but I think you'll be okay as long as there's no fever.

Get Zicam now!!! I prefer the nasal swabs to the melts.

They said it was fine. I'm just not taking anything for it.

Getting anxious as tomorrow draws near. My surgery is at 7:30am, so I have to be there by 5:30...O_O

Hopefully, my sleepiness will help me be less nervous. I've never had any kind of surgery before...and I'm starting with a major one!
