I have decided!
A while back I posted about my vacation plans and the TAH I was scheduled for only 5 weeks before! After the advice I got, especially thanks surferbabe, I am going to ask my gyn to postpone until the end of May.
I have gone this long without surgery so what is 3 more months? OK, four more times through the gushing and leaking, and 3 extra months of looking 5 months pregnant. But also 3 extra months to get in shape, lose about 15 lbs. and get healthy before I go in.
Unfortunately, the Dr. will be out for a month, and I keep thinking "What if she says it is an emergency and I can't wait?" I will just have to see.

I have decided!
Hi ((( Julia )))
I think you've made a wise decision, as long as your surgery isn't urgent. You sure don't want anything to spoil your trip to Japan, and this way you'll also have lots of time to put your pictures in albums while you're at home recovering from surgery.
I read another of your posts where you mentioned that you are a middle school orchestra teacher. When I was in high school my dad (a music professor) participated in a couple of exchange programs and taught music at Waseda University in Japan. I hope you'll have a chance to go to a Kabuki theater and to see a Noh drama - they are quite different from our Western music.
You may also want to be sure to bring your own "supplies" with you - it's been years and years ago, so maybe it's different now, but it was hard to find the American sanitary products that I was used to using.
I hope you'll have a wonderful trip, and please keep us posted when you get a new date.
