My period is late!!!

Hi,

I am having a TAH September 29th. However, this is the first time in my life(I am 49) my period has ever been late. It was due 4 days ago, no sign of it. I am not pregnant either.

Could this be starting of menopause or is it stress related or what?

Any comments would be appreciated....

Its funny I was always regular until last month, my period was three weeks late, and I am still waiting for it this month. I think our bodies know we are up to something, and Aunt Flo is lying low.
I have a cyst on one ovary and from what I read that can make things irregular.????
Anyway I am hoping I make it til next week before I get it.

Mine hasn't shown yet either for it's farewell appearance and it was here every other week for months have not had it once this month. That is ok with me because it is outta here tomorrow anyway, good riddance. That may be the explanation for why I was feeling so yuck and weird today also, PMS, more emotional than normal. Blast it all -- Aunt Flo is (almost) right on time with her swan song for me. Arrived today. (I felt her first knocking at the door just as I was winding down my pre-op deal -- I thought that was pretty poetic.)

So I can say that my menstrual history is this: 1st period at 11, missed ONE MONTH, then except for pregnancy, haven't missed a single period until the very bitter end!!!

I deliberately did not buy tampons for this period, though. I'm using up the last of the supply, then toughing it out with pads this month.

As for whether or not your missed period is stress related, it probably is. I have read that this sort of thing often happens.
