Smooth move tea??

Hi all!

I am getting things ready to take to the castle on monday, and I cannot find the Smooth move tea that is mentioned frequently here.
Anyone know what brand it is? I looked in my grocery store--and there were bunches of different flavors, but none called Smooth moves.

Thanks!

Smooth move tea??

Smooth move tea? Is that a laxative tea? I buy a diet tea that you can get at walmart for about $6.00. I drink it and about 5 hrs later I go, not smoothly though, lol! I believe it contains senna, which is a laxative.
Of course i dont have a box around to give you the exact name.

Smooth move tea??

I think that Smooth Moves is made by Traditional Medicinals and is available at Whole Foods. There is also a tea called Get It Going which is made by Republic of Tea.

Smooth move tea??

Has anyone tried yogurt? I eat “Activa” once a day and it keeps me regular . I know that after surgery BM's could get worse…..just a thought.

sharonw05, good luck with your surgery and I hope you have an easy recovery.

Smooth Move Tea

Yep, it's made by Traditional Medicinals. I get it at our Smith's grocery store (Kroger's) in the health food section. I highly recommend it as it's the gentlest, on my system anyway. When I first bought it about a year ago, it was a really yummy chocolate flavor, great with a little soy milk. But when I got it last month, it seems they have changed it as it's more of an herbal flavor. Really liked the chocolate better, but it does work.
Hope you find it and "good luck"!

Smooth move tea??

Thanks so much for the good wishes, everyone!

I am going to get some Activa yogurt tomorrow, and look again for the tea.

Say a prayer for me--both my kids are sick, and my throat is a little scratchy now. Yikes! I am taking vitamin C and zinc lozenges. I just CANNOT get sick the day before surgery!

Vit. c and tea

Okay, I am by no means an herbalist or doctor, but I know that when my daughter takes vit. C she gets nose bleeds. Her doctor's assistant told me it may have a bit of a blood thinning property, so be careful with that. I don't know.

Also, the Smooth move comes in what tastes like black licorice sort of and chocolate for kids.

Forgot

Forgot to say, some advise to try a stool softener before something that is an actual laxative/stimulant. Or if you do, go easy at first. You may not want those intestines contracting and cramping.
