A Little Encouragement

Hi Everyone.
This is just a note for anybody feeling scared and uncertain. I am a 30 year old who had a LAVH/BSO and Appendecomy on 04/21/03. I went back to work on 05/07/03 so I was only out 2 wks and 2 days. I feel great and I am not pushing myself or my limits. I am an Insurance Agent so there is no heavy lifting or anything like that. It does get a little crazy here but not alot of stress either. My 2 yr old ds is probably the worst of it all. He is still trying to learn I can't pick him up and dh just had surgery on 05/05/03 on right wrist and he is right handed so we are trying to help ds out. But enough of that I just wanted to let you LIW know that even though you are scared it gets better and you feel alot better sometimes even faster then expected.

That's heartening to hear. I have 20days to go and I'm getting more and more nervous about it.I have been gabbing non stop to my hubby about the surgery and I'm sure he's fed up to the back teeth already!

Thank you sooo much for your message, I have 18 more days to go and it makes a big difference to hear that you were able to go back to your work so soon, it does give me more courage to go thru with it (I'm going to get a new haircut today, so that will very nice). A for you.

I am glad you are getting a new hair cut today. I did that to and it did make me feel better. I also thought of doing new nails before had but thought better of it because of the surgery and them wanting to see your nails while it is being performed so I thought better of it. I hope everyone does well with their surgery. Good luck to all of you.

Thanks, Cheryne. I have 10 days to go and I am feeling a little nervous. I've had lots of surgeries so I pretty much know what to expect and didn't think I'd be getting nervous, but I am. I plan to get a pedicure before I go to the castle so that at least I can get rid of those winter callouses and feel pretty somewhere! Just had a haircut too. We need to do whatever we can to pamper ourselves before and after.
