Climara 50 HRT patch

I feel so grumpy since I have been on this HRT. Its only been 10 days but no reduction in Menopause symptoms either. I keep wanting to rip it off and wonder if I am being paranoid. I have had complete hysterectomy and everything possible removed from my pelvis due to severe endo. 2 years since hyst and 4 weeks since remaining ovary and heaps of tissue removed. Pain still severe due to sciatic nerve being stripped of endo also bladder. This is my first time on HRT and starting to feel crazy is this normal. I felt so loving after the op and now snap at my loving husband. As Charlie Brown would say Uggghhh!

Climara 50 HRT patch

Sorry you feel so grumpy.
I have been on the Climara patch for a little over three months. Before that I was taking premarin .625 orally, it worked well for several months, but quit working and all the symptoms came back with a vengence. Seems like HRT that has to go through my digestive tract doesn't get into my blood where it can do me any good.
My DR said that it might take two or three weeks to see improvement with the patch. Luckily for me, I noticed some changes within about a week to ten days.
I've noticed that if I'm stressed about anything, I have the moodiness and angry for no reason symptoms. Maybe stress affects the way the HRT works or maybe I'm just strange. At any rate I've had pretty good results with the patch and hope it continues to work well.
Hang in there and give the patch some time to work. Hope you are out of pain and recovering soon.

I took the patch off and feel great

I took the Climara 50 HRT patch off 3 days ago and what a relief to have my loving feelings come back The PMT feeling has gone so I can only think that lack of estrogen is not my problem. I still have the hot flashes and the insomnia but that doesnt seem so bad now I am not grumpy. I am new to Hyster sisters so will have to do a bit more reading about the progesterone side of things. This is such a great site to log in to in the middle of the night when I have so many questions. Im not on my own with this anymore
