Getting Rid of the Scars???!!!

I have had 2 C-sections and a post C-sec hernia repair around my belly button. Now have a brand new Hysterectomy scar down near the c-sec ones.... Any advice on how to minimize the scar?Do those 'Malderma' silicone gel or strips work? Laser correction later on???
Any Advice? Chris Sweet

Getting Rid of the Scars???!!!

Thank you for asking this question. I am really interested in the answers from others. I have a vertical incision. I have used Marderma since 8wks post (it is exactly a month today). No improvement (red, ugly, itchy, burning sensation,..). Other sisters, please share your experiences in treating your scars.

Suggestion

You might want to do a search of previous threads on this topic. I know that I had asked the same question a few months ago and got some good replies.

I've tried a few products and can't really say which one worked better than the others. I had gotten really frustrated at the 6 mo point because my scar was still really a vivid, dark purple and scared me everytime I saw myself in the mirror! I'm now at the 9 mo. point and noticed that it is fading very well. I'm sure the time it takes will also vary by each person.

If I had to make a suggestion, I'd say the Curad Scar Therapy worked the best for me. It seemed to help shrink/reduce the hardness of the incision.

Hope this helps!

Getting Rid of the Scars???!!!

Once my incision had healed, I used Vitamin E on it every night. Now, at almost four months post-op, my scar is all but invisible!
