101 Uses for Leftover Pads

This is in response to a challege from the Chat Room girls as we all wondered what we were going to do with our leftover pads.

Use No. 1. Use them as knee pads this summer when I do my gardening and give the neighbors something to talk about.

Can Cooler Craft...... Tape pads together using duct tape, forming a circle.Keep in freezer until needed. This should put you on the list for creating all sorts of picnic crafts.Don't be surprised if you see your name and picture in the paper.Without the duct tape, they could also be used for fevers, hotspots,or taped to ones butt while roller skating

Stick them to the dogs forehead so she doesn't hurt herself when she bangs into the wall trying to catch her ball.

Sanitary Slippers

I saw this on a joke site.....you take a pad for the bottom of the foot, then either glue or tape another pad over the top to make slippers...then decorate them with bows. My Mom is a real character...she wants my left over pads to make these to give away. (She also makes boop pillows with baby bottle nipples.) She's 79, and loves to make and give gag gifts....LOL

An Idea from DH

Another good idea for these wonderful things is to use them to help soak up under a car for oil leaks. Works like a charm apprentley.

Stick them to your feet and use them with pledge to help buff up your hard wood floors.

I honestly saw this on a household hint show. They used the textured mini pads to dab calomine lotion on kids with chicken pox so it would make a design and be more fun!

I have seen the slippers/sandals used as a 50th bday gift.

we can re-decorate the house.....

...surely you've heard of the painting technique called "ragging?"

This can add new meaning to the word...

I'm sure it would make a lovely paint pattern! (Hey, I've used a sea sponge before, so...........)

101 Uses for Leftover Pads

couldn't resist since this thread is done with a bit of humor. I moved shortly after my surgery.

I have a collection of porcelain carousel horses. I ran out of bubble wrap.... put 2 n 2 together.

Not a horse was damaged in the move. But my DH about died laughing when he unpacked the box.

How about "swiffers"?

Here's some more some of my local hysterfriends came up with:

- fire starters (we are Girl Scout leaders)
- soak them and freeze them for cold packs
- use the skinny ones for skinned knees - tape them on.
- dusting

For tampons:

- paint them and make a "hysterwreath" or Christmas decorations
- earrings
- toe separaters for toenail painting
- cleaning the dog's ears
- for those hard to reach dusty places

Or burn them in a giant "bonfire of the sanitaries". (There's an old thread somewhere in December where one of the Hystersisters coined that phrase!)
