Endometriosis Has Returned, Vaginal Infection, and Yeast Infection

Hi Ladies,

I went to my doctor today for 6 mos post op and told him my past 6 mos experience, in which I had to go to my primary doctor in order to get treated, of 2 vaginal infections, and severe pain on my right side. Surprise, I have a yeast infection, probably from the previous antibiotics, I am being treated again for my vaginal infection with antibiotics to make sure it is gone, and for now my HRT of .625mg of Permarin is being reduced to .3mg of Permarin, for 3 weeks, to see if pain is reduced. If pain is not reduced, I must go off HRT completely to kill the endometriosis. Doctor does not want to take me off HRT completely yet; says I am too young, 38, to be off it due to bone density. I am keeping my fingers crossed, but I am not hopeful.

I just want to thank all of you ladies for your advice and support. Because of Hystersisters, I was able to tell my doctor what I believed to be wrong with me and thus far it appears to be right. I also told my doctor that I was able to get most of my information through Hystersisters simply because I was never told anything about endometriosis, scar tissue infections, etc. I also told my doctor that he should refer his patients to Hystersisters simply because he does not keep his patients informed.

I am not sad or mad anymore. I am glad now that I have the correct information in order to get me well once and for all.

Thanks again!
