I'm doing great! 3 days post-op

Hi guys! I wrote last night about my fever and just wanted to update everyone who was so kind to reply to me. My fever is now normal and I feel wonderful. I am more alert and calm feeling than I have been in years. I am so hopeful that this good feeling continues. To any of you who are scared - don't be!! I was petrified about my surgery & all my fears were unfounded. I had a TAH/BSO & I have 19 staples on my belly but it truly wasn't that bad. I think I'll have trouble soon telling myself to take it easy (but I will follow orders). I'll check in later to let you all know how wonderful I'm doing!! Good luck to all & THANKS!

So glad you are home and doing well.

Remember to rest, take short walks, drink lots of fluids and rest some more.

Thank you for posting, with only a week to go I'm getting a little of the uncotrolable nerves... are such an inspiration, making me feel more confident....I'm 36 and in the dark with all this surgery stuff, especially the staples thing, I'll probably have around 19 or 20 myself and that is freaking me out a little....So glad you are doing so well, as I know I will, it just this waiting - Oh the waiting...Thanks again - keep us posted God Bless Shelly

Great to hear you are doing so much better. You will know when you have certainly overdone things so get plenty of rest. At 2 weeks you'll feel 50% better, at 4 weeks about 80% better and at 6 weeks 100% so don't rush things. Let the pampering begin!
