Which way do I turn?

In Feb. gyn found me with atypia endometrial hyperplasia (pre-cancer) put me on progesterone daily and wanted to do TAH/BSO asap however in Jan I had two tumors removed fromt he bladder which were cancer, had to go for six weeks treatment not chemo or radiation they were called BCG something to do with the immune system well we had to wait for that then wait six more weeks to do a bladder scope (which is tomorrow) to make sure no more tumors are growing before the TAH/BSO. When they do do the TAH/BSO (oncologist will also be standing by in case pathology shows up that the precancer turned to cancer to take out pelvic lymph nodes. What if tomorrow more tumors are growing in the bladder? They won't do the TAH/BSO if that happens it will be on hold. But the precancer can be turning to cancer with each day that goes by. I feel like no matter what way I turned I'm going in circles. (My mom had lining of the uterus cancer at my age) My mom also had breast cancer last year and she has Alzhimeirs which is also genetic. They tell me that the bladder cancer and the precancer in the lining of the uterus are not related which they say is good but unfortunate that it is happening at the same time. I am so stressed I know I need to wait until tomorrow to see the results of the cystoscopy the bladder scope. I'm so scared

Which way do I turn?

Dear Mariann,

I'm so sorry that you're scared. But you're in good company here: Every single person on this board has been scared at one time or another. I don't know much about your condition (or anything, actually), but I did want to post a note of support to let you know that you're not alone. I'm sure your doctors are trying to do things that are in your best interest. If you're up to it, try doing some research on your own condition as well. I personally think it's important to be as knowledgable as possible on what's going on inside your body so you can speak to the doctors on their level and in their language.

I hope that the results you receive tomorrow are favorable and enable to you proceed with treatment. In the meantime, keep your chin up and don't lose hope. It's OK to be scared, but keep your faith strong and your head held high. s!

Which way do I turn?

Dear Marianne I know how scary it is to be waiting for tests results and surgery, not knowing what is going on inside of you. It seems we are always being told to " Hurry up and wait."I pray you get good tests results, have no more bladder tumors and can get the surgery done soon. Write down all your questions and ask your Doctor. It helped me to resaerch on the internet, but there is also a lot of frightening stuffn to weed thru. There is a lot of info and support onn this board,
