I just wanted some kind words today as I am very emotional today and it seems as everything is piling up on me !!!
My date is 6/4 and Im scared!!! Worried about finacial aspect, No one to help me, My kids are gone for the summer and I go home at night alone and just think I cant sleep or eat, Im cramping more and more everyday, Just want to spend the day in tears...
I dont know why today more than yesterday but I dont like the roller coaster this has put on my emotions, And scared about being alone through all this! I have no family here and I am a single mom who cant take 6 weeks off with out pay In fact come hell or highwater will have to return to work when the vacation runs out after 1 1/2 weeks I am just beside myself today, I cant clean anymore in my house as you could eat off the floors as it is...
Tonight I shall take it out on the lawn I suppose, Just needed a lift or boost today
Thanks for listening to me ramble on today I needed it!

I'm so sorry you're having such a hard time. I can't offer any words of advice, but just know that you are not alone. As women, I think we face situations like this far more often than men. Do you have a desk job? 1 1/2 weeks is far too soon no matter what, but you really need to talk to your dr about this. I'm sure he/she will at least be able to give you the best advice under the circumstances. Do you have an EAP at your job? You could call them and at least have someone to talk to.
I promise you will be in my prayers... I know you're scared. I am too, but I will pray that God will take that away and work out the rest of the problems as well.
I wish I could be there to help you through... don't suppose you're in South Carolina are you?

Dear AJ

I'm so sorry you're feeling so bad thses days. I know you're scared about the surgery and, to add to it, what are you going to do for help afterward! Can I offer a couple of suggestions: First, regarding before surgery - I know people like to keep busy, but don't overdo it - you don't want to wear yourself out before surgery. Try to think of little things to do rather than major.

Second, with regard to no help afterward, even thought I do have a husband he wasn't always available so I contacted some friends and people from my church to help me out. It really worked out well and the folks who helped me were glad to be able to do something.

Regarding finances, I Have friends who did the same thing as above and asked the church for some financial help to get them through the tough times.

I don't know if any of this is a help to you or not. I am sending you a big, big and will be thinking of you on your surgery day.

I know you can make it through all of this - I'll be praying for you and your health!

Hi (((aj)))

I'm so sorry you are feeling so overwhelmed Just a couple of suggestions---can you let your creditors know that you will be out of commission for a bit and see if you can get a month or two reprieve on your bills---in that case, you might be able to extend your recovery time a bit?

There are ladies here who have been in similar circumstances--being single and living alone. Here is a thread from one of their discussions about what they did to prepare.

I hope some of this helps. Sending you 's and 's

I did that and they dont seem to care! And I could add disablility to my house for another 60 a month but wouldnt kick in or you have to have it 90 days before you use it, I am on a limited income and dont get child support, so this is really hard enough to worry about let alone the finacial impact it is gonna have,
God help me!
He must be testing me or something as when I have the LAVH they are also doing a breast biopsy at the same time!
