A prayer for my son.....

Dear Karenann,

I will certainly be praying for your son over the next few days. I pray that every medical problem he has now will be completely resolved and that he will be left with no long term consequences other than greater care when on the road.

I know a little of what you are going through as my son, then aged 14, had a road traffic accident just over a year ago. He was hit by a car when crossing the road and taken by ambulance with police outriders to hospital. He had a head injury and a suspected broken neck. I went with him and will never forget walking into casualty and seeing the crash team all standing around his bed waiting for him. My fears were that he would be brain-damaged or paralysed - my beautiful boy. Thank God he is fine now and bugging me for lunch, though it took him a few months to recover completely from headaches and insomnia.

I will pray, pray, pray that your son will be fine.

I am praying for a full recovery for your son.

This is a mother's worst nightmare, but I am relieved to hear his injuries were not worse than they are. You are both in my prayers...

A prayer for my son.....

Karenann:

You both are in my ers. There is no more helpless feeling than seeing your child go into surgery, I know: we've done it three times with my DD and we're not done yet.

But G-d will guide the hands of your son's surgeons, with all the prayer power your friends here can command. We're here, praying for you!

Karen,

What an emotional time for you. First good news, now your son. Of course I will pray for both of you. Hang in there.

A prayer for my son.....

Oh, Karen! My heart goes out to you and your son. I will definitely pray very hard for him tonight.

I hope this offers you some comfort. When I was 12 years old, I was riding in the back seat of our next-door neighbor's 1965 Mustang. We were on our way home from roller skating. My neighbor was going too fast, and a car pulled right in front of us. We smacked into it and spun across four lanes of traffic onto a golf course.

I was unaware of this fact, as I had flown from the back seat through the front windshield (to my shoulders), crushing my right cheekbone, breaking my arm in three places, partially paralyzing my right eye for six months, and requiring scalp stiches. I made a full recovery and did not lose any vision, despite being somewhat cross-eyed for half a year.

This was my mother's worst nightmare, and she remembers it as the worst thing that's ever happened. I was spared and only have scars on my head (now more visible than ever, thanks to baldness).

I'm sure this is also your worst nightmare, but I know your son will recover. My mom said it is already a miracle that he's not paralyzed, so God is watching out for him. He is strong and he will get through this! We will all be praying for you.
