And I graduate from 3 month to 4 month checkups after this month. Ah, but not so fast. I just landed in the ER for a kidney stone. The CT also shows a density on the other kidney. Should I worry? Ack! oh yeah and it also showed a "surgical clip." Is that normal after a TAH? (BSO too..thankfully it is been so long I'm forgetting the alphabet soup)

congratulations

Yes it is normal to have some surgical clips after a tah/bso. Normally they use sutures, but some use clips. They use them to tie off blood vessels and since the uterus is a vascular organ they want to make sure that the vessels that they cut to remove the uterus are secure.

I do hope that the density on the kidney is nothing and will pray to that effect.

But most of all congratulations on the move from every 3months to every 4months.

whew! thanks so very much for responding. And yes, I'm hoping the kidney thing isn't related to anything but my own oddities. From everything I read, the peripheral calcification is a good sign-- 80% chance of being benign

and yes! June 19th will be my last 3 month exam. I'm soooo looking forward to "graduation"

thanks thanks thanks thanks....

Congrats on the graduation from 3 to 4 month checkups!!! Always a good feeling!

I hope density on the kidney turns out to be nothing to worry about. Keep us posted.
