I did a terrible scootch, but a good report

Hi, Girls! Had my appt this morning (I changed it from Thursday because we took our children to Kings Island). I scootched horribly! It's probably one of the worst ones I've ever done. I woke up late and didn't have time to prepare myself mentally. Anyway, I did great with the gown--no tears! But I shredded the sheet somehow during the scootch down the table. Huge tear right in the middle of the paper! My biorhythms must have been off or something.

Regardless, even though the scootch was poorly done, the appointment went well. He did the colposcopy with vinegar test and saw no areas of abnormality. He also sent off the traditional 2 samples in ThinPrep form, so now we just wait for the results. If this comes back normal then he said we can go to 6 month visits! So, now I'm set for the summer (once the results come back). I feel pretty good about things!

Have a great day, girls!

A+ on the report...a C- on the scootch

As long as the report was so good--we'll forget about the scootch and blame it on cheap paper, etc. Congratulations.

Hip Hip Hooray!

I hope the rest of your report is perfect, and you enjoy the summer. Don't worry about the paper, I would say your results make for a perfect scootch!

Just curious. My oncologist has never done a colposcopy and I went to every 6 months at a year. (I cheat and wtill do 4 months) How come you have a colposcopy?

s Jeanine

Congrats on a great checkup. And I think an appt without time for mental preparation must be a good thing occasionally.
Too busy with real life.
