Last Period!

I am only a few weeks away from my surgery (TAH) and am just starting my last period.

I think my fiance and I will open a bottle of wine tonight and toast this part of my life goodbye.

I feel lucky that I can feel definite closure on this part of my life, and not go through the maybe's of natural menapause.

Anyone else feel this way?

Last Period!

I definitely understand you wanting to "celebrate" the closure of this chapter. Me too. I'm finishing up my very last period ever - and looking forward to my surgery on June 18th. Man does that ever sound strange - "looking forward to surgery".

Good luck to you - keep me posted on how you do.

Last Period!

I would venture to say most of us have been glad to close out the period chapter of our lives.

Best wishes on a great surgery and recovery,

Last Period!

It's kind of a weird feeling having a last period. I was hoping mine was the last but I started a couple of days early the last time so if I'm on time or early again, I'll be having it during my surgery. I guess it will be like going out in a blaze of glory!

I will still have to buy the pads because I have 2 DDs that are just starting their journey.

Have fun celebrating your last one. :

Last Period!

Thank you to everyone who replied to my post - I really appreciate the support.

I'm still surprised at how emotional I get over this whole thing.

I plan to bring my supplies in to work and leave them in the ladies rooms for emergencies for my co-workers.

Good luck and best wishes to all!

My surgery is on June 18, too! And yes, I do feel like celebrating. I'm so ready to bye-bye period.

Last Period!

I called my sisters and asked them to come to a period party. Now I see commercials on tv and smile. I never need that stuff again!

Last Period!

Okay, when I stop to think about it being my last ever period, I get a bit emotional. I can still recall the events of my first period so many years ago. I am not sad, but really so happy that the pain will be all over. I love the idea of a period party! Somehow I timed it just right with my tampon suppy... I think I have just enough to get me to surgery on Monday. Thank goodness!
