Rosalie, We'll IM, E-Mail or Talk Some More

The big thing now is to get the CT done and then another CA125 and put everything together and see what is or isn't going on. This CA125 could be a glitch and sometimes CA125 will rise and yet nothing shows up on a CT scan. I know it's a tough time--my recurrence was...but let the Dr. retest and CT and then see what she has to say.

Meanwhile, if it feels releasing, go ahead with the and get it out.

Huge s Rosalie

Please know that my thoughts and prayers are with you right now. DARN!!! DARN!!! I hate that one of my favorite friends on CC is going through this scare. Hopefully Rosalie, it will just be a fluke. Are they planning to repeat the ca 125 along with the CAT scan?

Me again Rosalie. Just sitting here thinking about you. Are you aware of PET scans? Some docs consider them superior to CAT scans. Just a thought you may want to run past your onc.

Hi Rosalie!

Hope you are feeling a little better. I read all the posts and then found your second one to Siren. I am so sorry that you are so worried. Good, good luck with your tests. I will be praying for you.

I hope that everything turns out ok with the CT scans. My prayers are with you.

I sent an e-mail earlier to you. I just want to say, too (almost as a reminder to myself), that we're all in God's hands. He's in charge; not this disease. You're in my prayers.

Rosalie, I'm sorry this happened. I wanted to let you know my results and hopefully this CA125 business isn't the most reliable.
I had gradeI stageIC ca that was in a cyst that broke during removable. After my tah/bso and staging, including lymph node removal, every biopsy came back negative (including the ovary the cyst was on). My CA125 before my first round of chemo was 63.6. What is up with that? If I only have maybe microscopic ca cells roaming around and no positive biopsies-why such a high number? I question it's validity by itself. It can also be elevated with endometriosis. Please try not to worry.

Sending prayers and 's your way, hoping this is nothing at all!

I posted a long note in the other thread, but I wanted to contribute here, too, because we're all thinking about you. Love and prayers are being sent your way from all over the country, and probably all over the world.

I think that when one of us hurts, we all hurt. You are always so sweet and kind and supportive to all of us here. Like others have said, I pray that this is just nothing. Take Karenann's advice and ask about a PET scan. I'm sure Ellen will be sending you other advice as well.

All I can do is pray and hope and send you s. Please keep us posted!
