Gulp

OK ladies that first gulp of the cocktail is down!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! It didn't taste nearly as bad as I had thought. I'm sure by the end of the gallon I'll be singing a different tune.

Well, off to wait to see what happens and I think I need another drink (do I sound like a lush)!

I don't need to have a preop cocktail and was very glad. I've done them before and know what you are going through. Just have a good book or magazine in your bathroom for when it starts to take effect.

Hi Ladies,

I have to say that even though I have never had to take the "cocktail", I have seen my husband go through in prep for a colonoscopy. Is there anyone out there with suggestiong on how to make this process easier? Surely there must be! I think I am dreading that more than the actual surgery. My husband can barely get the whole gallon down without wretching on each glass he drinks.

Hey EmeraldCity... I've never had to do a gallon of anything! But the stuff I did have to take was pretty terrible... I was told to drink it really cold and if you can use a straw at least you bypass the tastebuds!! Good Luck!!
