great follow-up visit

I had my 8 week post op today with my gyn/onc at Boston University Medical Center. My diagnosis was borderline ovarian cancer. It went to the tumor review board and they are recommending no chemo . I don't go back for 6 months. I am thrilled, but also a little uneasy. I guess this is common for my diagnosis. Everything was removed, found to be non invasive and contained toi both ovaries.
Thanks to all for your help and support

Hi, Patty!

It's great that you don't have to do chemo. Just be sure they keep a close watch on you. Don't be uneasy. You'll be fine!

Thank you all for your good wishes. you can just tell how genuinely sincere you all are. I have one more question. My onc/gyn/surgeon is the kindest, most caring doctor I have ever met. he took me on when I was lost and has been there every step of the way. he didn't even want to leave for his vacation until I was settled. He hates to leave another Dr. in charge of a patient just through surgery. I would love to send him something, but am not sure what is appropriate. Have any of you done anything for your Dr.? I've seen posts regarding nursing staff, but not doctors.
