cold flashes

Hi Leigh
I had TAH/BSO on May 1, 03. I, also, would be totally freezing after something as simple as getting up to go to the potty (even in the hospital). I did that regulary, until several weeks ago. Eating meals will reallllllly bring the icicles on!!!! I would be shivering from the inside out! I just piled lots of blankets, and kept a sweater or cute sweatshirt handy (even in June!!!)

I still do it from time to time, sometimes even in the middle of the night. Weird because my legs wouldn't be as cold as my arms and top torso, so i would put a blanket over myself from about the waist up. Also, I am still in a good bit of pain (I developed an infection somewhere in there, from my surgey, and I'm taking a long long time to get better), so I still use lots of pillows to get "comfortable", and they tend to help keep the heat in!
Hang in there! Maybe we'll get through this!!!

COLD flashes??

I also had my TAH/BSO on 5/1/03 and am cold alot of the time too. Especially now that it is getting warmer and the family has the air on. Today I went upstairs, turned the air off and had on a sweatsuit and was under the covers...and I know it had to be 85 up there! It's pretty weird! It doesn't happen all the time now like it did early on, but once I get cold, I can't seem to warm up easily. I take a sweater everywhere I go now...just in case! Maybe it's hormones?
