PS I forgot why I wrote to begin with. My hospital stays were about 4 days at the most. I always told dr's when I wanted to go home. I didn't like morphine drip so when I stopped using they removed & everything went quickly from there. Last stay of course was quite different because I had so may drains to eliminate but still after 7 days told dr I was going home. He tried to convince me to stay one more night but let me go with assurances that I would come back if food wouldn't stay down. I didn't but another tip from my buddies is pretzils & ginger ale keep away dehydration from nausea. It worked for me. Now I'm done.
