Is this true...

I got the results yesterday, CIN II and CIN III. My Gyno still thinks that I should undertake a cone biopsy first and she is not giving me the option to do a hysterectomy. If I want a second opinion, do I need to get copies of my pathology report to take with me? Do I just call a local Gyn/Onc and make an appointment? Will he/she be able to get all of my records for me?

Hi Lisa...

Searching for a doctor is always the hardest because you usually know nothing about them.

Do you have a regular internist or family doctor that you also go to??? If so, why not ask him or her who they reccommend as an oncologist/gynocologist. Actually that is how I found mine.

From reading your post, it does not sound as if you want to ask your regular gynocologist who he or she might recommend and that is understandable. You do not want them to feel as if you are underminding them but you have every right to seek another opinion from a specialist.

Keep us posted.
